A Crock Pot Version of "Steak Diane"
1-1/2 lb. chuck roast cut in small pieces
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup red wine or 1/4 cup brandy
1 Tbs. Worchestershire Sauce
1 Med. onion chopped
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1 bay leaf
Coat the beef pieces in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Saute until light brown on all sides. Add to crock pot with remaining ingredients, except for cream.
Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours
HIGH for 4-6 hours or until beef is tender.
Opt: Stir in 1/4 - 1/2
cup heavy cream before serving.
